Using AI Effectively
In general, this is the recommended approach to using AI for blogging.
1. Use AI to help you find new topics
This is one of the most effective use cases. Whether you are struggling with creative block or simply want to find more potential topics around a particular matter, AI can easily assemble multiple new topics for you to explore.
While not all topics will be relevant or necessarily well-suited for you and your blog, it’s a great start and can help stimulate your own mind. I find that out of a list of 10 topics, around 2-3 will be viable on average.
2. Use AI to help you structure a new article
Another strategic use of AI is article structuring or layouts. Simply input your blog’s title with a detailed description of what it will be about and who it is targeting, and ask for an outline with headers and supporting bullet points.
You can then add and retract from this outline as you see fit. Once your outline is in place, it is much easier to write the article as you have a clear vision of what should be discussed and in what order.
3. Use AI to help you research further around a subject
Let’s say you have already started writing a blog. If you want to find sources to support your arguments, or you’d like to learn more about the subject that you’re writing about, AI can play a key role.
If you want specific information related to exactly what you are talking about in your article, you can even paste in what you have so far and submit it to an AI writer to have them make recommendations or perform research hyper-focused on your existing sections.
4. Use AI for proofreading or suggestions
Once an article is finished, you can use AI as a substitute for a second pair of eyes if you don’t have anyone else who can review your article. Depending on the AI that you are using, you may be able to request spelling corrections, plagiarism checks, content refinement recommendations, or even more.
