WordPress | Creating a Meta Description Using Yoast

This guide will show you how to create a meta description for a post/page using the Yoast SEO plugin. 

1. Login into WordPress.

2. Navigate to the 'Posts' or 'Pages' tab and click on the applicable article.

3. Click on 'Meta description' and add in your meta description.

The best practices for meta descriptions are:

1. Keep it under 155 characters
2. Include your focus keyword
3. Include a 'trail off' or call-to-action
4. Make it intriguing to entice readers
5. Use the meta as a brief introduction to the article

4. Click on 'Save draft'

5. You're done!
